Engadget has an excellent collection of articles detailing just how nuts consumerism can be. Some of these fuckers.... Kee-ryps. I'm still convinced that Sony's repeated horrible/restricted console launches and ardent proprietism are just a reflection of how much they hate everyone. They love to watch the ants dance for the object of their affection, indeed. Joystiq also has a nice attention-whore F-you from the "SmashmyiPod" guys by destroying a newly-bought PS3 in front of 100's of hopefuls. They say a video will follow soon. Anyhow, I'm glad I decided not to stay the whole night and went home to sleep instead. I would've been at the Circuit City where the pepperball incident happened if I had stayed the whole night... as fun as that would've been.

A big commiserating sorry to a couple of my friends, though; who did spend 18 hours or so waiting. Only to get cut in front of by scalpers who were literally trying to sell the ones they just bought in the parking lot as the police who were present did nothing to maintain the line or any semblance of order. (Aside from send a few kids to the Pokey, who didn't even cut into the line, for pushing) That kick in the nuts of being exactly next in what was a line and them goin' "Sorry, all out. Go get one from that greedy, self-important sack who just took the one you would of had in the parking lot for three grand," must be quite a monumental kick indeed.

Oh well. Wii on Sunday, boyeee.

(Oh, and Sneak King...)

So, uhh, I guess this is a charitable/good thing? The whole thing seems kinda surreal to me. Maybe even misplaced recognition and a bit o' "lookit mez!!" Iunno, just all seems kinda "lahk whoa" to me. Anyhow, you knowz... Things.

Hol-ee Shee-it

Animal "rights" activists can suck my lily ass. Candy? What's the problem? Candies like this have been floating around before. Why attack it now? Who the fuck even cares? I'ma make strawberry icecream bars shaped like roadkill activists replete with cherry goo filling and call 'em "Funsies". Fuckers.

We've got the escape plan blueprint,

get off this planet now!

Or, watch The ASCII-Matrix cuz it's whee.

It's about weekend time. It's about Hollow-Scream weekend time. It's about... well, no plans this year. So it's about time.

This looks like a peaceful coast. Except for the dead bodies.

Hope everyone will either be out collecting candy or at home dispensing it. Or, I guess, the third option is out getting heemed and ogling girls in too-teeny costumes. Good times.

Maybe it's time to get off this crazy thing. This crazy thing called... Love.

Hollow-Scream

Costume quandries are over!! These costumes are the hotness and we should make an effort to get out there and get the ball punching! Enjoy and remember: Just because you're broke and have children, doesn't mean you can't have great politically topical costumes. Trick or Treat all year 'round.

Jilted and Mischeivous

Apparently all my "friends" are good enough for this 18 year old muff, but not me. Noooo.... I filled out her "boyfriend application" nonsense thusly:

My Sullied Application )

I mean, c'mon! Who wouldn't date the shit outta that?? Now, admittedly, I hadn't sleep at all and I was droning at work so I may be unfairly vindictive......... but it's good times, anyhow. If you want to be her "boy"friend or just want some fucking funny reads from what others posted (especially the aforementioned "friends"); you can hit it up aquĆ. Congrats to my buds that made the cut and may she burn. Buuurrrnnnnn.... Righteous fires and piemonade.

So... My day has been slow..............

Jeff Lew's Killer Bean has been remastered. Nothing too extreme, but a great re-watch of a classic. GoldenEye: Rogue Agent has a hot website in which you take a "villain assessment" of sorts and gain access to a sweet name generator among other things. My "Overall Fiend Factor Quotient" is 128 and Blind Vizier villainized is "Baron Blind Van Der Slay". Watch for me in Lithuanian periodicals soon. I was directed towards this test by a friend. I'm normally not one for these and I tried to take it as blindly as possible based on my knowledge of those bad-ass original Transformers. Those who know me will probably be as baffled as myself when you see that:

Optimus
You are Optimus Prime! You are a natural born
leader, brave and selfless and you will fight
to the bitter end for peace and freedom. You
have extensive knowledge in just about
everything from art to the art of war. You
would be a better leader if you were more
ruthless, but then you just wouldn't be Optimus
Prime. Roll out with your bad self!

Transformers Generation One Personality Test
brought to you by Quizilla

I invite you all to take the test as well and share your results because I want to see if they are as curious as mine. Hell, who knew? Mebbeh there's some Prime in me after all.

Anyhow, that's about enough mess for tonight. Be sure and tune in next time for another round of silliness.

(Addendum:) Uber Boy villainized is "Colonel Uber Man Kookamunga". I might have to go even more old school than BlindVizier now when my scheissekrieg launches...

Not'cher ordinary vector-based freshness:

tokyoplastic UK-based. An ex-industrial designer. An international photographer/artist. An insane piece of talent. They have some vinyl and prints up for sale in commemoration of v.2 of the site being out and about (v.1 was damn "hit" as well. If you haven't seen it, there's a link to it in the "bits and pieces" bit of v.2); so be sure and send yer British Pound Sterlings over to 'em. You know. Like being sure to drink your Ovaltine. It's worth your time to explore every link on both the versions, but if you are short of attention or just don't give a fuck about digital artistry; checking the "bloody mecha" (I dunno what else to call 'em) prints that are on sale and watching "drummachine" are key.

"vector scientists...perpetually sharpening the cutting edge"

I know... One of these days I'll post a "journal" entry. Sorry.

Doom3 is scary, apparently.

These damn kids are my heroes. I can just imagine their parents sitting downstairs listening to them and laughing hysterically. "Here you are Gunter und Heinrich. I new game for playing!" *snicker* I'm guessing they're German (cuz it's funnier to me that way), and that kind of prank is OK in Germany. In keeping with the Id Software news vein; DOOM4 has been officially announced. The leaps and bounds in graphical photorealism are absolutely astounding.

So I like CG shorts...

My link whoring continues... I stumbled upon a short today that pretty much kicks the ass down the drain. It is a collaboration piece done in only two and a half weeks(!!) on no budget for the Rocketclip sub-festival of the Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival. All three "houses" that came together on this are located in Holland. Who knew the Dutch could rock the effects socks? Two guys from Soulbase, three guys from House of Secrets and one from Maniacs of Noise all came together on this one. They ended up only winning second place because their entry was deemed "too professional" (strike a familiar chord, Nigs?), but it's the best as far as I'm concerned. At any rate, it's called "Geweldenaren van Ver" or, "Tyrants from Afar". You can find plenty of watching links from its site.

On the personal (read: journal-ish) end, not a whole lot. Works still work. Still fighting with debtors, and hopefully swinging a car loan in the near future before good ol' Truck blows up on me. Schooled good ol' Migs on Wacom tablets and digital 2D animation suites last night and he sounds kinda amped about it. Hopefully it'll be new fuel to keep pushing him along. Er, and I wanna play with the tablet if he gets one. Heh. Good times, good times.

Jimmuh back muh clobethes unh seXbawks oar DIE

This is friggin' lunacy. I'd go on some sort of diatribe about how retarded people are and how nuts video games make people, but it'd be hypocritical (possibly unfounded) and it wouldn't bring the victims back. Asides, who knows how slanted the reporting might be. Just a little read for a laugh or a "what the fuck?!" (or both) depending on your current mindstate. As a queer little parralel: I'm playing Doom3 at current and it's dag awesome. So please don't come steal my breakaway pants and the computer I'm playing it on. I'd hate for your final vision to be me looming over you with a knife and an aluminum baseball bat as you groggily awake from your slumber.

From a Frenchie land comes sights so grand! (on occasion... sometimes)

Just a mini update to share a couple CG shorts that I found quite amayzink. They're astoundingly both from France, to boot. I know. Tell me about it. One is Jurrannesic done by 5 students of the GOBELINS animation school. That can be viewed through the links on the site, or, for you lazy basticles out there MilkandCookies has it linked up he'ah. The other short is called Akryls. This was also done by 3 French students (I dunno which school) over the span of six months on three machines. 3-6-3. Hmm. Aah... The site has a few DL mirrors if you follow the link. Easy enough to snag. So, naturally, I want to start firebombing all the art schools so kids that can't afford to go still have a chance to make it in the industry. Sign the petition below if you want to help fund the gargantuan gasoline, rag, and empty bottle purchases that will ensue.

Ze Komick. She speaks to meh.

I'll just use a text link cuz more web hits for him are good web hits (even if he already has plenty)... but this har is a damn fine example of how political campaigning flows. Hell, even how marketing "works", for that matter. Regardless, I think it's wicked funny. I know it's a lame-o "hey, dis funny comic" post, but Crazydeus always sasses me about running across hot stuffs on this here Web of World Wide-osity and not sharing. On the personal tip, which is nary a word muttered in this Haus O' Liveness, ...usually... I've been working a new job the past few weeks. I must say I, and my bevy of loyal debt collectors, are pretty damn amped about the idea of positive cash flow once again. It's quittin' time in the salt mines so further bulletins will be posted even if events don't warrant. Good morrow fine gents; and be sure to drink your Ovaltine.

I could just be bored on a Friday, but...

For those of you who wish not to die with the should'a, could'a, would'as. For those who can still blink through the haze and throttle that singular beam of light. For those who sit as bored as I. Lez do dis.

Drop a line with something you dislike abou'cherself (if it makes the process easier, toss in a pro about you as well). Hell, if there's someone you know and think they speak "I Need It". Make an entry as proxy for them. Maybe we can get sued for mental anguish! We can turn this into a sobbing pile of group therapy. Maybe even make a party out of it and plan a couple trips to help alleviate the dysfunkshun.

(e.g.)I'll start.

- Not always considerate enough of others' feelings.
+ Kissably soft.

And: I'd like to visit Atlantic City.

It is nearing six months now. S'pose it's time to dust off the resevoir tip. In reality, Crazydeus made this hot little icon for my usage and I had to jab it up here. So. Enjoy. Send money.
